Sengmeng is a seasoned professional in shaping and building innovation ecosystems, with experiences in R&D, portfolio management and business development for 25 years. He is part of the founding management team of Singapore’s national AI programme office (AI Singapore®️) and now leads LearnAI programmes.
He led LearnAI to deliver mass AI literacy and proficiency nation-wide over the past 5 years and since established AI Singapore as a trusted leader and advisor within Singapore’s training and education ecosystem. His team is also trailblazing the professionalization of AI practitioners, increasing the global competitiveness of its local workforce.
Sengmeng has a degree in mechanical engineering and two master’s in science and business management. He holds various appointments in national taskforces and advisory councils, including the national co-chair for AI Technical Committee representing Singapore in ISO standards voting. He is a conferred Fellow of Singapore Computer Society.
